The series offers an extended reach for cavity machining and the processing of complex geometries in sectors such as aerospace and motorsport. Cutters are available in diameters of 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16 and 20 mm, with each diameter having a selection of radii ranging from 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4 and 5 mm, depending upon the chosen diameter.
The 3091 series has a cutting depth of 1.5xD, an overall length from 75 to 150 mm, a cutting length of up to 30 mm, and a reach of 12 to 65 mm.
In addition to the high helix flute design, the 3091 series is centre-cutting, with this enabling it to conduct a variety of machining strategies that are now being introduced by high-end CAM vendors.
