ITC’s 9001 series routers simplify composite machining

With carbon fibre composite materials increasingly commonplace in the aerospace and motorsport industries, Industrial Tooling Corporation (ITC) has launched its 9001 Cyber series of multi-flute routers for machining composites.

The 9001 Cyber series is a multi-flute, square ended router that is manufactured from a special wear resistant micro-grain carbide featuring an uncoated or diamond coated option. The router features newly developed geometry with precision ground chipbreakers to dissipate heat, improve tool life and reduce workpiece delamination. The 9001 Cyber series is offered in 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm diameters. To enhance rigidity and tool life, and minimise vibration when cutting these unforgiving materials, ITC has developing a straight shank design with an overall length of 75 or 100 mm depending upon the diameter selected.
