Hainbuch expands modular chuck system
Hainbuch has added to its modular workholding system with a jaw module that offers a 3-in-1 solution for ID clamping, OD clamping and jaw clamping. According to Hainbuch, the jaw module has been developed to make its modular system usable for smaller quantities and workpiece diameters up to 200 mm.
Also, using a newly developed face driver adaptor, it is now possible to machine over the entire length of shafts without re-clamping, says Hainbuch. The advantages of this rapidly assembled device are increased concentric precision and the stabilisation of dimensional and positional tolerances. In terms of holding power, the carbide pins dig into the end face of the shaft and transmit the torque.
