Guhring puts ring of confidence around its universal PowerTaps

Produced in both HSCO and ASP materials, the Guhring PowerTap range is available as steam tempered and TiN coated versions. They can be readily applied to a broad range of materials from general purpose steels, cast steels, high tensile and alloyed steels, stainless steels and even aluminium. As tapping is invariably one of the last, if not the last, operations in the machining cycle then the demands on a tap to produce true-to-gauge threads every time is essential. To meet such expectations and satisfy expected demand for the PowerTaps, Guhring has built a new manufacturing facility at Treuen in Germany equipped with Guhring designed and built grinding machines. The identifying gold ring around the shank of these Guhring all-rounders is intended to provide the end user with the confidence of total quality assurance when tapping.
