Gühring launches RF100 Diver milling cutter

A solid carbide range of unequal helix milling cutters has been developed by Gühring for ramping, drilling and slotting operations. The end mills are designed for both roughing and finishing in most workpiece materials.

The key element in the design of the Gühring Diver end mill is the face cutting geometry which is said to incorporate great edge strength, and deliver the maximum chip clearance essential for steep ramping angles (diving up to 45º) and drilling at high speed. Additionally, the unequal helix angle design (36º/38º) reduces machining vibrations, allowing higher speed and feed rates to be applied. To further increase tool life and enable the tool to run at the fastest possible cutting rates, the end mills are all coated with the latest hard Signum coating. Available in two designs, plain and weldon shank, the standard programme covers seven sizes ranging from 6.70 to 19.50 mm diameter.
