Fine bore adjustments now visible on detachable display

A new digital stick display unit from WNT (UK) removes any ambiguity when adjusting fine boring heads.

Rather than relying on a dial gauge or the head's vernier scale, the stick displays shifts made using an Allen key in imperial or metric units. The stick, which is a similar size to a USB drive and is powered by a single AAA battery, connects to the fine boring head via a contact surface.

The system controls fine boring adjustments down to 0.001 mm increments. Initially, the system is available on the new WNT Fine Boring Heads with modular spindle interface, which cover a diameter range between 3.0 and 154.1 mm.
