Feeler UK offers lower cost Eco series versions of VPM machining centres

Engineering Technology Group company Feeler UK is offering the standardised specification Feeler VMP eco series machining centres which, it says, offers all the performance and features of the VMP range at around 25% below the usual list price.
The two eco Series machines – the Feeler VMP-1000 eco and VMP-760 eco – are described as reliable, robust, general-purpose workhorses. The VMP-1000 eco offers a 1,020 by 520 by 505 mm XYZ working area with axis travel speeds of 40 m/min in X and Y and 30 m/min in the box guideway Z-axis. A 10,000 rpm Big-Plus 40 taper spindle gives up to 18.5 kW of power and 117.7 Nm of torque and is combined with a 24-station dual swing arm toolchanger
The smaller VMP-700 eco has a 760 by 420 by 510 mm working envelope with 36 m/min travel speeds in all axes. Again fitted with a 10,000 rpm Big-Plus 40 taper spindle, this offers spindle power up to 11 kW and 56 Nm of torque and is combined with a 20-station toolchanger with a tool-to-tool time of 2 sec.
Both machines come complete with chip conveyor, flushing system, preparation for through-spindle cooling and a choice of Fanuc 0iMD, Siemens 828D or Heidenhain iTNC530 control. A fourth axis can be retrofitted by Feeler UK's partner company, Engineering Solutions.
