The smaller of the two machines, the TUR RM120, has an 8 by 1.2 m travelling bed (8 by 2.4 m on the RM240) with a 2.2 m clearance distance between the columns. This sizeable gantry provides 800 mm of stroke in the Z-axis, while X- and Y-axis travels cover the complete bed at rapid rates of 15 m/min.
Both machines are supplied with a 68 kW motor that offers a maximum torque rating of 5,400 Nm. This drives the ISO 60 taper spindle through a speed range of 5 to 2,000 rpm.
