Now, Wellesbourne-based ETG is extending the line-up with the arrival of the new LC4. The latest high-quality cost-effective fibre laser cutting machine has a larger capacity and a host of features that reach beyond the smaller LC3 variant.
The new LC4 machine is perfect for a wide range of applications from thin to thick sheets of steel, stainless steel, aluminium and non-ferrous metals. Delivering greater profit per part with its low investment level, comparatively low operating costs and low maintenance requirements – the new LC4 is an exceptional machine at the perfect price point.
From a technical perspective, the LC4 is available in four variants, the LC4 2000, 3000, 4000 and 6000 with each of the four models signifying the respective laser power from 2000 to 6000W.
The LC4 can accommodate sheets up to 4m by 2m with a cutting area of 4120 by 2110 by 100mm with a maximum workpiece weight up to 1300kg. Depending upon the selected model and material being processed, the LC4 can cut sheets from 5 to 20mm thick with incredible speed and a changeover time of just 27 seconds.
The maximum positional speed in parallel axis X/Y is 100m/min with a maximum positional speed of 140m/min. When it comes to precision, the new LC4 has a bilateral repeatability positioning of one axis (R) of 0.5mm with an average bilateral deviation of one axis (M) of 0.1mm with an edge detection precision level of +/-0.5mm. With regard to the footprint, the compact machine has a floor area of 13.1m by 6.4m with a height of 2.74m.
In addition, the LC4 incorporates features such as a piercing jet, brush-mounted cleaning, a shuttle table system with exchangeable toothed steel grates and an efficient cooling system. From an ease-of-use perspective, the network compatible LC4 has a DNE motion CNC control with the DNE Vision Cutting interface that is operated via a 21.5-inch touchscreen panel with a Windows 10 operating interface, USB and solid state disk. The machine is also accompanied by a wireless handheld control unit that enables fast positioning of the cutting head to any position in the cutting range.
As would be expected from a Swiss brand, owned by the leading sheet metal processing technology provider in the world, the state-of-the-art laser cutting technology from DNE Global has uncompromising quality, and innovation is instilled into every facet of this new product.
Differentiating its market position from rival brands, DNE’s laser cutting solutions deliver extremely high performance at an attractive price point. For more information on how you can take your sheet metal processing to the next level – please contact your local ETG representative.
