With the Engineering Technology Group (ETG) recently being announced as the exclusive UK & Ireland distribution partner for DNE Global, the company has added high-quality cost-effective fibre laser cutting to its armoury of products and services.

To underpin the growth of this new brand, the Wellesbourne company has now employed Shane Langston as product manager to drive this new division into the marketplace, an engineer with over 20 years of working in the sheet metal industry sector.

Shane started his career as an apprentice at Amada UK, spending considerable time in various departments and roles within the business, gaining an intimate knowledge of every facet of the sheet metal industry. After seven years as a service engineer, Shane moved to a UK sales & marketing manager’s role with LVD. And more recently gaining further experience as a software solutions manager for a leading sheet metal software brand.

Commenting upon Shane joining ETG, group managing director, Martin Doyle said: “We have wanted to enter the highly competitive laser cutting market segment for some time as we see huge potential with the right technology partner. Now, we have the right technology partner that demonstrates uncompromising quality at a price point that will set us apart from the competition.

"To ensure we build the foundation for success, we needed to employ the right team – with Shane we have started that building process. Shane’s background gives him the perfect blend of technical knowledge from his years of service support experience; he has built upon this with an extremely successful career in sales, marketing and leadership – all in the sheet metal sector. Both Shane and the ETG team are excited to embark upon this new venture.”
