Electrox unveils ScribaEvo laser marking software

Electrox has launched its latest generation graphical design and laser programming software, ScribaEvo. This PC-based software is said to be suitable for individual component marking to automated volume production. Furthermore, it is backwards-compatible with all G2 Electrox lasers, meaning that existing, as well as new, customers can benefit from an upgrade.

The rationale behind ScribaEvo was to streamline Electrox's software to improve user-friendliness with a simplified structure that makes it easier and faster to use. A key feature is the laser parameter library, a pre-saved index of popular laser configurations.Changes to a laser's power, frequency or speed have a tremendous impact on the results, and there is always an optimum setting, depending on the substrate, colour or application. By offering a library, users can select the most appropriate option.

The software is developed on the Microsoft .net platform for intuitive navigation and is compatible with Windows 7 or 8.
