Easily operated workbench Laser L-Box provides rapid identification marking

The Laser L-Box is an easy to use marking system that fits easily on a workbench. Equipped with an Ytterbium-doped fibre laser source, its power allows it to produce high contrast markings in milliseconds. It is designed so that users with a minimum of training (laser safety training) can operate it intuitively.

The Laser L-Box is intended for industrial traceability and identification applications as well as for producing distinctive markings (logos, designs, etc). The robustly constructed unit can produce markings at high rates with low operating and maintenance costs in industrial environment. The pumping diodes have an up to 100,000-hour laser operation life. The unit is capable of marking metals of all types (including steel, aluminium, stainless steel and titanium), composites, ceramics and most plastics (depending on the base material, additives and pigments). The viewing window and interior LED lighting allow monitoring of marking operations. The Laser L-Box features a rotary D-axis; a motorised Z-column station for either a custom-welded support frame, slide or turntable station for series marking. The laser beam is generated by its highly compact source then delivered through a fibre optic cable extending all the way to the part via the galvanometer head and lens. Unlike the previous generation of laser-marking machines, no opto-mechanical adjustments are needed. The 504 by 765 by 780 mm footprint unit provides a 369 by 450 mm work table; a 100 by 100 mm marking window (optionally 170 by 170 mm). It can accommodate a maximum 235 mm part height and 500 mm part length. Trained personnel wearing PPE, and working according to instructions, can undertake open-door marking on parts measuring over 500 mm. Markings are fully configurable via Windows-based software. Marking capabilities include alphanumeric characters (wide variety of fonts, all .ttf fonts), logos, images, barcodes, data matrix codes.
