Creaform unveils latest MetraScan 3D optical CMM scanners

MetraScan 3D handheld scanners are now offered in two versions both of which offer the same accuracy and benefit from a light carbon structure.

The MetraSCan 70 offers optimal resolution and is aimed a projects where geometrical feature definition is key, such as sheet metal and tooling inspection. The XYZ axis resolution is 0.05 mm and it allows a stand-off difference of 152 mm and a ±50 mm depth of field. The laser cross area is 70 by 70 mm. The MetraScan 210 offers increased measurement speed. Its increased stand-off and depth of field make it a more flexible device and it is billed as ideal for large surface metrology and large scale reverse engineering. Resolution is 0.1mm, stand-off 300mm, depth of field ±100 mm and laser cross area 210 by 210 mm.
