Creaform Pipecheck 2.2 available from Measurement Solutions
Creaform has launched its latest (2.2) Pipecheck software release for oil/gas pipeline integrity and degradation assessments. Combined with the HandyScan 3D scanner, Creaform says that Pipecheck 2.2 offers never-before-seen speed and accuracy when evaluating pipeline deterioration and remaining service life, a major shift from traditional assessment methods. Available in the UK from Measurement Solutions, the system is designed for NDT service companies and pipeline operators seeking issues such as pipe corrosion or mechanical damage.
The latest Pipecheck also allows the optimisation of workflows when working on the same pipe joint with multiple units. Scans that share an overlap of targets can now be realigned together using common targets, thus increasing productivity.
Creaform has also introduced 'Pipecheck Analyze', a software module for on-site analysis or from a remote location. For example, field technicians can now send acquisition data acquired in a ditch to a pipeline integrity engineer for analysis.
