Bowers' Sylvac Hi_Cal XZ height gauge is accurate and has large capacity

By the use of a dual probing arrangement, Hi_Cal XZ height gauges are able to perform very accurate, simultaneous measurement and display of both X and Y axis results. Available in two sizes, with maximum height measuring capacities of 135 and 285 mm, the new Sylvac height gauges boast an independent X-axis, giving them the unique capability of measuring extremely large internal and external diameters. By locating large parts such as aero engine casings and pump components on an inspection table, in a horizontal plane, and by using of the Hi_Cal XZ's integrated sliding rail and X axis probe, extremely large ODs and IDs can be accurately measured, only limited by the inspection table's dimensions. The Hi_Cal XZ, having Z and X-axis accuracy specifications of 3 and 2 micron respectively, is said to be able to take the place of less accurate shopfloor instruments, such as beam gauges and large diameter micrometers. And it can undertake metric inch conversions, step heights, Min/Max/Delta routines and centre line distances calculations.
