Boost site management with InSites 4.0 from Indoorway

Indoorway has launched a set of tools for faster, safer and more transparent industrial processes. With InSites 4.0, decision makers can get insights about movement in manufacturing or logistics sites with nearly 20-30 cm accuracy. This capability might help to modernise buildings, increase revenue streams and introduce leaner management.

InSites 4.0 is designed to unlock real-time and historical data about movement within a building. The system therefore delivers precious insights about the utilisation of machines and space, as well as the activity of certain teams and shifts. According to the company, such information can be used to reduce maintenance costs by up to 20%, improve time-efficiency by 15% and significantly reduce the risk of a dangerous incident.

The ready-to-use tool is based on an indoor positioning system that leverages Indoorway’s latest hardware: Tags and Hubs. Tags are devices which can be attached to any tracked asset or handed over to employees, whereas Hubs are installed on walls or ceilings to process data. The system enables the collection of information about movement, which is then presented in an online analytical dashboard.

While exploring InSites 4.0 analytical tools, managers can get useful insights into complex processes. Factors that can be scrutinised include: the usage rate of each unloading ramp, pathway or entrance; the time spent on order picking processes, as well as loading and reloading cycles; the movement of forklifts and other vehicles with in-depth mileage statistics; the activity of each shift, along with the time spent in a certain zone on a given task; the current utilisation rate of the temporary storage zone; and unexpected stoppages.

Such data might be used to ensure the optimised use of crucial resources, forecast health and safety hazards, and standardise the work cycles of employees.

Indoorway is headquartered in Poland and has its UK office in Birmingham.
