Behringer automatic bandsaws suit stockholders' needs
Behringer straight-cutting automatic bandsaws, HBP413A and 513A, are able to accurately cut all metals, from profiles to high tensile ferrous and non-ferrous solids.
Material capacities are 410 mm diameter for the HBP413A and 510 mm diameter for the 513A, which with a bundle clamp (optional) has a capacity of 45-500 mm wide x 10-500 mm high.
One of the first installations in the UK has been an HBP513A at Struthers and Carter of Hull, one of the country's oldest metal stockists and part of the Barrett Steel Group of companies, the largest independent steel stockholders in the UK.
Fitted with 18 m long input and output roller-ways and a bundle cutting clamp, it’s a highly efficient workhorse to rapidly cut the broad mix of steels supplied from the Hull site, which from this saw includes, plate, angle, tube and small structural steel sections.
“The new saw has not only given us further undoubted improvement in our value-added capability but also importantly, our speed of response, which in to days competitive climate is increasingly vital” says Fred Radford, Managing Director, Struthers and Carter.
The HBP413A and 513A include an array of standard features, including full NC programming with all machine functions controlled by PLC via the operators terminal, for data entry, storage and diagnostic display. Many optional equipment extras are also available, including laser-light saw blade positioning, bundle clamping and added handling and conveyor options.
