Ansys unveils release 16.0 simulation software

From simulating the interactions between software and hardware that fuel the Internet of Things, to better understanding advanced structural materials, Ansys says that release 16.0 of its simulation software enables engineers to rapidly innovate new products.

Ansys 16.0 delivers advancements across the company's entire portfolio, including structures and systems engineering solutions – providing engineers with the ability to validate complete virtual prototypes. Here, reducing weight while improving structural performance and design aesthetics is a challenge many engineers face. Materials such as thin sheet metal and composites are often part of the solution, but these choices present simulation challenges. With this in mind, among many newly developed features of Ansys 16.0 is its ability to accelerate the process of modelling thin materials, such as sheet and plate components, and define how parts are connected in a complete assembly.
