Ansys 16.2 software offers advances in systems engineering

Using the newly released Ansys 16.2 software, engineers can create virtual prototypes of complete systems. Claimed to be the first comprehensive solution for simulating complete systems, part of the breakthrough is made possible by enhancements to Ansys Simplorer, a platform for multidisciplinary systems modelling. Simplorer can assemble and simulate electrical, electronic, thermo-fluid, mechanical and embedded software components. The methodology offers advanced 3D precision when needed, as well as reduced-order modelling for verifying multi-domain system performance interaction.

Ansys 16.2 also delivers significant advancements in systems engineering through Ansys Aim – said to be the first integrated and comprehensive multi-physics simulation environment designed for engineers. Among the many added capabilities are heat transfer and thermal stress, gas flows, and structural deformation and stress.

A further systems development product within the latest release is Ansys Scade, a system avionics package that is said to simplify systems design capabilities for the aerospace and defence industries.
