Amada hybrid press brakes speed throughput

Utilising electric servo driven hydraulics, this integrated unit provides high speed response and stable positioning. This is complemented by enhanced bending accuracy from the new 'Automatic Reactive Beam' system – an innovation that is patented worldwide. Amada HD press brakes offer a variety of new back gauges, with a range of finger configurations, including a Delta X option providing independent finger movement. There is also a new quick release tool clamping system for rapid job changeover, an increasingly important factor in a market witnessing a trend for smaller, more frequent batch delivery. Customers can also take up an option for hydraulic clamping for top and bottom tooling if they choose. Simplifying forming tasks for operators, the HD range offers two new sheet follower options, able to cater for light or heavy gauge work. Also, two new automatic angle measurement systems (BIS and BIL) both work with standard tooling and provide automatic bending compensation on material up to 12mm thick. Amada's new BendNavi 3D programming system is fully integrated into the CNC, allowing the import of DXF/DWG/IGES cad files directly into the machine. As a result, "unparalleled throughput times" from 2D drawing to accurate first-off folded part can be achieved. Additionally, the new 'My Abe' software option is able to automatically create bending programs for a schedule of different parts using common tool layouts, therefore further minimising set up times.
