AICON adds further inspection functions to BendingStudio software
Software developers at optical camera-based 3D measurement systems company AICON have added two features to BendingStudio, the platform that integrates all data and processes involved in the production of bent parts.
Available from Measurement Solutions, BendingStudio now enables users of the TubeInspect programmable optical tube and wire measuring system to configure the virtual gauge even more precisely. Using TubeInspect, quality related measuring points are fixed along the tube geometry and assigned tolerances from the corresponding inspection plan. Now further functional dimensions, such as distances and angles, can be measured allowing complete inspection with reference to the drawing, especially during production of bent wire parts.
For testing tubes with large diameters, such as those destined for shipbuilding or plant engineering and construction, BendingStudio can be connected to additional measuring sensors. Thus the portable CMM MoveInspect HR, together with MI.Probe, becomes an efficient tube measuring device.
Further functions are in development and will be integrated into the software in the future.
