Yamazaki Mazak Worcester European Technology Centre is model for four more in Europe

Yamazaki Mazak is to build four new Technology Centres at strategic locations across Europe, modelling them on its European HQ's Technology Centre, in Worcester.

They will be located at Leipzig in Saxony in Eastern Germany, Düsseldorf in North Rhine Westphalia in Western Germany; Katowice in Southern Poland and Prague in the Czech Republic. The new Düsseldorf Technology Centre will replace the current Technology Centre in Ratingen. The new Technology Centres will, says the company, closely follow the format of its highly successful European Technology Centre in Worcester in the UK, the company's European headquarters. The European Technology Centre boasts a large showroom capable of housing a large number of Mazak machine tools under one roof, a 96-seat auditorium and exhibition facilities which are in almost constant use for Open House and customer events. The Leipzig Technology Centre will open in late 2011, with the Düsseldorf, Katowice and Prague Technology Centres all scheduled to open in 2012.
