Yamazaki Mazak continues as 'Official Supplier' of CNC machine tools to Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula One team

The agreement will see Mazak continue in its role as the sole Official Supplier of CNC machine tools to the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula One team. Mazak has supplied the team since 1999 and now has a total of 19 machines installed at the McLaren Technology Centre in Surrey, including multi-tasking and multi-axis machines such as the Integrex, Vortex and variaxis, as well as Quick Turn Nexus lathes and FJV machining centres. Mazak machines are used to manufacture key parts for the racing cars' transmission, suspension and aerodynamic assemblies. Jonathan Neale, managing director of McLaren Racing, commented: "We are delighted to have extended our relationship with Mazak.
