XYZ Machine Tools to open Scotland showroom next month

​Continuing with its positive outlook, XYZ Machine Tools has announced the grand opening of its brand new Scotland showroom will take place on Wednesday 23 February.

Located at Unit 7 Nasmyth Court, Houston Industrial Estate, Livingston EH54 5EG, the facility will open its doors to existing and potential customers for the first time, with no requirement to register.

The doors will officially open at 9am and live demonstrations of a wide selection of the XYZ Machine Tools range will take place throughout the day up to 3pm.

Machines on display range from the entry-level XYZ KMX 2000 turret mill, through the ProtoTRAK-controlled XYZ RMX bed mill and RLX lathes, including the large capacity RLX 780 ProTURN lathe, weighing in at 8600kgs the machine features a swing over the bed of 780mm (1090mm in the gap) and a distance between centres of 3000mm.

The spindle is powered by a 32 kW (43 hp) motor with the gearbox providing two speed ranges from a low of 20 revs/min through to 1300 revs/min. All ProtoTRAK controlled machines feature the latest RX ProtoTRAK control with its touchscreen interface and innovative software solutions that make programming straightforward.

Siemens-controlled machining and turning centres will be represented by the XYZ 750 LR linear rail technology machine, the XYZ 800 HD box slideway machining centres and the CT 65LTY turning centres.

An added incentive will be the offer of a £250 Ceratizit tooling voucher for every company attending, which can be spent on anything from the Ceratizit catalogue. Refreshments will served throughout the day and buffet lunch provided.
