WNT (UK) is recruiting a team of applications sales engineers to offer another level of technical support. The move will create opportunities for WNT (UK) to support the needs of larger manufacturing companies, while continuing to provide the levels of service that existing customers have become accustomed to.
These field-based engineers will back up WNT's existing team of 21 technical sales engineers, providing dedicated applications and project support service to a core customer base of small to medium-sized manufacturers. The work will involve looking at individual components and providing engineering expertise to achieve the optimum metalcutting solution.
Tony Pennington, managing director, WNT (UK), says: "These new applications engineers will add valuable resource to our existing technical sales team and also bring another dimension to the service that WNT is able to provide for customers. As we move into this new phase of our growth strategy, applications support will form a vital component in our quest to remain at the forefront of customer support in the cutting tool sector."
He adds: "This is the start of an exciting new phase in the development of WNT (UK). By adding this additional level of support we will be able to work closer with customers and develop machining processes with them that will help them to maximise their productivity and make considerable savings."
WNT is looking for recruits to cover the south, Midlands and north of England, along with one covering Scotland and Ireland, ideally based in Dublin. As with WNT's existing technical sales engineers these new recruits need to be highly experienced with a hands-on CNC metalcutting production engineering background, with the confidence to deal with intricate machining projects and provide sound advice to customers.
