Walter Helicheck number 1,000 celebrated
Walter Maschinenbau GmbH has commissioned its 1,000th Helicheck CNC non-contact tool measuring machine.
The Helicheck Plus – one of a range of Helicheck machines - will be used by Kennametal at its Nabburg site in Germany to inspect the special-purpose tools produced there in small volume for milling, drilling, countersinking and reaming applications.
In a ceremony to mark the event, and to celebrate Kennametal's 40th anniversary of producing tools at the site, plant manager Mario Wild received a commemorative certificate from Walter's managing director sales, Christian Dilger, who said: "It is clear that the Helicheck non-contact measuring technology is established worldwide, as an increasing number of customers demand certificates of conformance from their inspection routines."
