Unimerco wins workplace award for fifth time in succession

For the fifth time, Danish cutting tool manufacturer Unimerco has been chosen as one of the 100 best workplaces in Europe.
In addition, the company has also been named 'European Trust Champion'. This means that it is one out of only six companies to have been on the list for five years in a row. The international Great Place to Work institute is behind the competition, and the main focus is human relations in the workplace.
“In a time with great demand for qualified labour, it is even more important to create an attractive workplace. For this reason, Unimerco finds it very important to maintain and develop all the elements that make us a unique company”, Kenneth Iversen, Unimerco CEO said.
The company is owned 100 per cent by is employees. The share scheme is one of the primary reasons for Unimerco’s good rank, since it results in interest for the company, job satisfaction and responsibility. Furthermore, all the companies in the group are 'roofed villages', meaning that the office area is open and that there is no separation between office area and production. This allows fre flowing communication within the company.
