Joining Tornos through May and June, each of the starters brings extensive CNC experience, and the flexibility to conduct both technical applications support and service. Stephen Brett and Andy Patrick have both been heavily involved in the manufacturing sector since leaving school and serving technical manufacturing apprenticeships, prior to careers in production-orientated roles across a number of market segments. Chun Yuen previously held a 10-year customer support engineer role for Tornos in Asia and will bring a fresh outlook to customers on the application of their machine tools.
The general manager of Tornos UK, John McBride, says: “Our three new staff will be multi-disciplined engineers working across the entire range of Tornos sliding-head turning centres and multi-spindle machines. The Tornos portfolio now encompasses more than 19 different machine types, and having multi-skilled engineers capable of servicing the demands of our customer base across all product lines and industry segments, will be a huge benefit.”
