Former staff of Thompson Friction Welding are being sought, so that they can join the company at a milestone celebration later this year.
The firm is set to hold a party at Dudley's Black Country Living Museum in May to mark the 50th anniversary of its first-ever friction weld.
The company is not only keen to be reunited with ex-workers from its current headquarters in Halesowen, but also from its original site in Ettingshall, when it was known as John Thompson Ltd.
Thompson initially produced friction welding equipment for joining reinforced wire products used in nuclear power reactors, before making machines for manufacturing parts for trucks, construction machines and exploration tools.
More than 90% of equipment made at its current factory is exported overseas to customers in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Thompson employs 90 staff and has an annual turnover of around £25 million.
"This event promises to be a very special evening and we'd like to get in touch with any former colleagues who want to join us and celebrate our momentous achievement," explained sales director Nick Edge.
Ex-staff can either send an email to sales@thompson.co or call Charlotte Mackie on 0121 585 0888 for further details.
