Terry O'Neill has been appointed joint managing director Roemheld (UK)

Terry O'Neill has been appointed joint managing director Roemheld (UK), sharing the role with incumbent managing director, Bill Neal, who will retire at the end of 2014.

In his new role, Terry (picture, right), who was previously southern area sales manager, takes responsibility for the operational side of the business, while Bill (picture, left) focuses on strategy and marketing. Terry's previous role has been be taken on by newly-appointed southern area sales manager Ian Shelley. Terry has been in the workholding industry for 25 years, having started out as a technical sales engineer at Spencer Franklin Engineering. He also worked for Partridge Hydraulics and was employed as head of workholding at Hydrapower Ltd, before joining Roemheld in 2001. Terry said: "I am excited about the challenge of managing a market-leading company in what is a difficult era and would like to thank Bill for his continued support in making my transition from sales manager to managing director as smooth as possible. From a Roemheld Group position, the challenge of bringing new products and innovation to UK manufacturing is one that I look forward to and I am hoping to achieve the same success Roemheld has experienced under Bill's leadership." Roemheld is the sole UK supplier of Hilma 5-axis vices, Roemheld hydraulic clamping solutions - including swing clamps and double clamping systems, pressing devices - Stark Zero Point mounting systems, M-TECS magnetic clamping, Modulog assembly and handling equipment and Kostyrka clamping sleeves.
