Roemheld 5-axis catalogue

1 min read

Roemheld has recently released a new catalogue which offers a 16-page guide to getting the most out of 5-axis workholding.

The Roemheld catalogue includes full descriptions of the Hilma machine vices most suitable for 5-axis machining. It details how they have been designed to support 5-face machining, the single handling of a component, short spindle tooling, tool paths without collision, standard jaw designs and optimum component positioning on the table. In addition, all of the vices and jaws listed in the catalogue are also available as CAD models (available from www.roemheld.co.uk). The Stark Quintus quick-change system is also detailed in the new Roemheld 5-Axis workholding catalogue as it provides the optimum interface for a machine tool when used in conjunction with the Hilma vice system. Quintus incorporates a mechanical zero point clamping device which enables the quick change-over of different workholding pieces. Resulting in more efficient handling, improved set-up times and reduced production costs. This catalogue brings together all the latest 5-axis innovations available from Roemheld, which specialises in offering a total, solution-based approach to workholding.
