Subcontractor Castle Precision has been recommended for accreditation to AS:9100 Revision C, following a successful audit at its Glasgow facility.

The company, which had been accredited to AS:9100 Revision B, successfully made the step-change at its first attempt, more than 6 months ahead of the global deadline in July 2012. Comments Marcus Tiefenbrun, managing director of Castle Precision: "At Castle, we welcome anything that challenges the aerospace industry to reach a higher level and we are very proud to have achieved this objective, which could not have been done without the on-going commitment of our workforce. "Attaining this accreditation is no mean feat, however, the real success in achieving this standard will be in its ability to continue to drive Castle towards ever higher levels of quality and delivery performance, at a globally competitive cost to its customers." In summing up, the Lead BSI assessor & client manager is said to have commented: "A lot of work has gone into this; and it shows...the integration in the Castle Productions System is phenomenal...nothing but praise...I wish we could bring in other companies to show them what can be achieved".
