Studer's S33 grinding machine will be on stand 5381, at MACH 2010. With a new grinding head, that utilises three grinding wheels, complex workpieces geometries can be ground in a single clamping, bringing important advantages to customers in tool making, job shops and the supply industry.

In addition to the familiar production wheelhead, which can be used at 0° and 30°, the new universal head can be fitted with two external grinding spindles and one internal grinding spindle. Both external grinding wheels with diameter 500 mm x 63 mm (80/110 mm Form 5) are arranged on the right. The universal head can be manually positioned every 2.5°, or is available as an automatic B-axis with 1° Hirth serration. HF spindles are exclusively used for internal grinding. The S33 is now available with a CNC control and integrated PC. This enables the use of the StuderWIN operator interface. The easyLoad based handling system smartLoad is designed for handling work pieces up to 300 mm in length and 100 mm in diameter, while the maximum gripping diameter is 60 mm. For work pieces up to 38 mm in diameter, the belt conveyor can be fitted with 36 components.
