Cousins, 55, brings with him a wealth of manufacturing and machine tool sales experience.A time-served toolmaker, he has the added advantage of experience of working on both sides of the business, having also run his own successful mould tool making company in the North East for a number of years.
After selling that business, he turned his hand to machine tool sales, working first with Mitsubishi EDM before embarking on a 12-year spell as area sales manager for Deckel Maho Gildemeister AG (DMG), looking after the North East and Scotland.
He then became DMG Mori Seiki's business development manager for three years before joining ETG at the start of July.
Says Cousins: "I am joining a very vibrant and forward looking team at ETG and look forward to leading the sales operation towards its future goals.
"The customer experience on offer here is unique in many ways, and in achieving greater awareness of ETG and its portfolio of products I am confident we can build upon the already considerable momentum that is evident in the business."
Stewart is married and has five daughters and two grandchildren. In his spare time he is a singer with a number of leading North East-based Big Bands.
