Mitsui Seiki, Fermat, Reiden, Wele and OKK agent 2D CNC is expanding the sales team operating out of its Hinckley headquarters following the appointment of Peter Colledge to cover the southern area.

He brings an in-depth knowledge of machining centre and, in particular, milling technology in both OEM and subcontracting sectors, following 17 years in machine tool sales.

Having served an apprenticeship at BAe Weybridge, he progressed into the subcontract sector producing automotive components and has since followed a successful sales and customer support role representing some of the UK’s leading machine tool suppliers.

2D CNC director David Holden says the appointment follows the company’s merger earlier in the year with the Halbronn Group as part of a strategic technology alliance that added the OKK range of 5-axis, horizontal and vertical machining centres to its portfolio as well as expanding its automation capability involving cells and systems.

Added Colledge: “With the latest OKK machine range and the additional automation and work handling systems that are available, I feel I can offer a complementary product line to suit different customer requirements with a very strong application and service support operation.”
