On the second anniversary of its appointment to represent Wele Mechatronic in the UK, 2D CNC Machinery has been presented with an award by company President Kuan Yong-chang for dedication and efforts in customer support, sales, and marketing.

Taiwanese headquartered Wele Mechatronic is a strategic alliance company within the JTEKT Group, a sub-group of carmaker Toyota, which also owns leading international machine tool builders, cell and system engineers Mitsui Seiki and Toyoda Machine Tool, also represented in the UK by 2D CNC.

Says managing director David Holden: “The Wele range was first introduced to the UK when 2D CNC was appointed in 2013. It is now rapidly gaining appreciation when customers compare the quality of build and performance, which is heavily influenced by Toyoda engineering, to the installed price.”

Established in 2007, Wele has a vertical spindle product range spanning machining centres with axis strokes of 900 by 650 by 600 mm in X, Y and Z up to 2,500 mm in X by 900 mm in Y and Z. There is also a high precision range of 5-axis including tilting head and trunnion machines with travels up to 4,060 by 3,200 by 1,200 mm in X, Y and Z.

In addition, larger cross-rail machines, moving overhead bridge machines having travels up to 16,000 by 5,000 by 1,000 mm (in X, Y and Z) and a series of horizontal borers, vertical turning and milling centres and multi-milling and turning bridge machines complete the product line up.

2D CNC also sells Czech-built Fermat table and floor-type boring machines, Swiss-built Reiden range of universal head, 5-axis machining centres, and Pal-Techn Automation systems.
