Mori Seiki set to buy DIXI factory
Mori Seiki Company Ltd of Nagoya, Japan, and the DIXI Group of Le Locle, Switzerland, are in negotiations concerning DIXI machine tool manufacture and related facilities, the companies have reported.
Mori Seiki intends to purchase the DIXI manufacturing facility, where machines are produced, and continue the design, manufacture, distribution and service of DIXI brand machine tools from Le Locle, Switzerland.
In addition, the Japanese machine tool maker intends to expand operations in Le Locle and begin the manufacturing of certain Mori Seiki machine tool models there.
The new company could begin operations in Le Locle as early as January 2007. Akihiko Takeda of Mori Seiki will have responsibility for the management and operation of the new company.
