Mori Seiki makes it three in a row

Mori Seiki's NT6600 DCG high-precision, high-efficiency integrated mill-turn centre was awarded the 2008 (51st) Best 10 New Products Awards Monodzukuri Prize, sponsored by Japan's Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun newspaper.

The company has now won this prize three times in a row, following the success of its Dura Series in 2006 and its NZ Series in 2007. In recent years, there has been increasing demand for machine tools in oil, energy, shipping, and printing machine industries for large mill-turn centres which can offer process integration to improve accuracy for long/large diameter workpieces and faster processing. The NT6600 DCG is Mori Seiki's response to this. It is the largest in the NT series and can boast a 24in chuck and a turning length of over 6m.
