Industry leading turning and machining centres will be integrated with robotic and metrology concepts, highlighting seamless manufacturing technology integration and associated cost savings. Matsuura will be highlighting the capabilities of 14 machine tools at its facility with another six machines in the Tornos showroom. The key focus for Matsuura will be the single table 5-axis MX-520 machine tool, primarily aimed at companies making the transition from 3 to 5-axis operations. The company's latest 5-axis machine and the largest machine tool Matsuura manufactures to date in terms of capacity and size with X, Y and Z axis in the 1 m range, the MAM72-100H, will also be on hand. The H.Plus-630 – one of the most installed Matsuura products in the UK – is also expected to be of interest. This horizontal machining centre for large and complex components is available with a large number of options, including auto pallet changers and FMS systems that underline the theme of the event – integration, automation, and unmanned running. Two machines shown for the first time in the UK will be the 12-axis EvoDeco 16, with four completely independent tooling systems and demonstrating the production of medical parts, and the the new 3 to 5-axis Tornos Almac CU2007 compact machining centre.
