Following on from the purchase last year of a substantial industrial property directly adjacent to its Leicestershire HQ, Matsuura will open its new Additive Manufacturing Centre to the public for the first time at an exclusive launch event from 10-12 May 2022.

The additional premises, covering one acre, possesses 11,500 square feet of space, consisting of a large showroom, substantial office space, stores and loading bay.

The building has been completely refurbished, and substantial infrastructure installed to accommodate the full range of the firm's 3D printing portfolio from LUMEX, HP, Desktop Metal, ETEC and DyeMansion.

Matsuura UK aims to be the only additive manufacturing (AM) centre of excellence in the UK where visitors can see the entire workflow experience in any material – from concept to component, in one venue, live.

Speaking of this important milestone for Matsuura UK, managing director Roger Howkins, said: "This investment is in recognition of our phenomenal growth in AM over the past 3 years and reflects our projected future success in the important and expanding 3D manufacturing sector.

"We are confident that our new state of the art facility, and growing and experienced AM Team, will continue to excel in serving our present and future customer base. It is our business model of investing in our people and infrastructure that deliver total customer care that has bought this prolonged success to Matsuura – both in Additive Manufacturing and our CNC products.”
