Leatherhead-based Matchmaker CNC, supplier of CNC machine tools and flexible manufacturing systems, has reported its third consecutive year of year-on-year sales growth, with demand for its machine tools coming from a wide spectrum of industry sectors and customer groups.

Sales of new machines have been driven by a buoyant manufacturing sector and the development of the range offered by Matchmaker CNC, with new additions to existing portfolios, such as the high speed vertical machining centres from Matchmaker, vertical turning from Honor Seiki, 5-axis machining from Tong Tai and the announcement of the Unisign agency at the beginning of 2013. "We are extremely pleased with the continued growth in sales and are reassured by the diverse spread of customers that are choosing Matchmaker CNC as their machine tool partner," says Colin Donhue, director, Matchmaker CNC. "Sales have come from across all industry sectors and have ranged from single machine orders through to multiple machine installations, from companies such as MTI, Peak Engineering, Tromec Precision and the Hymec Group, which has purchased several Matchmaker machines and also the first Unisign sold by us in the UK. "What is particularly pleasing about the current situation is the positive response we are getting from across all manufacturing sectors, including aerospace, oil and gas, mould and die, and general engineering, and from customers at all stages of their business development. The air of confidence that we are getting from customers is encouraging and is backed up by national surveys showing manufacturing continues to see a real upturn in fortunes, both in the domestic and export markets, which should lead to continued growth at Matchmaker CNC for the foreseeable future."
