MACH orders for air turbine spindles

1 min read

At MACH, ITC explained the potential benefits of the extended range of air turbine spindles from US manufacturer Air Turbine Tools. With technical staff giving mould tool manufacturers an insight to the potential cycle time savings of the systems, a number of units were sold and sales have continued in the post-exhibition follow-up.

Visitors to the ITC stand also saw a broad range of tooling, including: the 2132 Cyber Series of ball nose end mills, for the machining of abrasive materials; the ITC 2112 Cyber Series of micro ball nose end mills, for steel machining; the Hanita 7N22 Series, for the machining of difficult materials at high speeds and feeds; the 2141 Cyber Series range of two-flute drill-mill cutters, with a 90° included-angle; the 4111 Series chamfering tools; the 1031 and 1032 Cyber Series drills for machining highly accurate holes; as well as the new Widia, Hanita and Rubig series. ITC's managing director, Peter Graves, said: "The exhibition delivered high quality leads from companies that were very keen to investigate the potential introduction of our tooling. In comparison to previous exhibitions, we found MACH 2010 visitors were intent upon acquiring tooling solutions with productivity and cost benefits, and engineers were at the show for a specific purpose. This reflected well for ITC, with a number of air turbine spindle orders and a high order potential for tooling projects."
