Growth at Industrial Tooling Corporation (ITC) has seen the cutting-tool manufacturer add another technical sales engineer to its expanding team. Chris Fairbrother will bolster the support provided to manufacturing companies in the northwest region.

ITC has recently expanded its product portfolio, increased manufacturing capacity, and its service and re-grind offering. To underpin this growth, the company has been busy adding more technical sales engineers to its ranks, the latest example being Fairbrother, who has 25 years’ industry experience.

Fairbrother started his journey as an apprentice, then CNC machinist before progressing to numerous manufacturing engineer posts with OEM manufacturers. He subsequently advanced to positions as a tooling design engineer a technical sales engineer in the cutting-tool industry.

He says: “I had an old work colleague who now works at ITC and he’s never been happier, so I jumped at the opportunity. When I went for an interview and had a factory tour at ITC, I was taken aback by the rapport that the MD has with all his staff. That really struck a chord with me. As an engineer, my core philosophy is all about servicing customers and making sure they are happy. Without customers, you have nothing.”

ITC managing director Peter Graves adds: “Chris has a proven track record in the industry and, above this, has operated as a sales engineer in the north for a number of years with a strong understanding of the area, the prominent sectors and the region’s principal manufacturing companies.”
