Hydrafeed offers standardised automated loading of CNC lathes and machining centres

Barfeed and parts handling specialist Hydrafeed is now the exclusive UK agent for the Robojob series of automated loading and unloading systems.

The Turn-Assist and Mill Assist Series of automatic loading and unloading systems complement Hydrafeed's barfeeds, and the company's X-Tract and Rota-Rack units for feeding and catching parts on turning centres. The new additions will enable the company to offer complete automation for turning and machining centres.

Turn-Assist can be used on CNC turning machines of all brands, existing or new, requires no specific robot knowledge for operation, and, most importantly, can be set up in less than five minutes. The included Robojob software makes things easier still by proposing the type of gripper or gripper fingers that should be used.

With its Fanuc robot set up in an inclined position, the machine's opening remains fully accessible to the operator, as does the swarf tray.

Turn-Assist can handle parts from 23 to 180 mm diameter.

Like Turn-Assist, Mill-Assist can be adapted to all brands of CNC machining centres. And with either a 'front set-up' or a 'side set-up', in each case the machine opening remains free, allowing normal access. The system can handle parts from 23 to 450 mm diameter.
