Hexagon debuts new CMM at MACH (stand 5710)

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence will showcase a new model in its Global co-ordinate measuring machine range.

The Global Evo features a raft of new technologies including Compass, a combined hardware/firmware vibration reduction function which acts like a suspension system. The machine can effectively compensate for vibrations caused by its own movements, enabling higher-speed scanning with no loss of accuracy.

The new model also incorporates Fly2 Mode, the next generation of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence’s trajectory-optimising technology. It ensures smooth movements and reduces program execution times by automatically generating and implementing the most efficient path between points.

Designed in collaboration with Italian automobile design company Pininfarina, Global Evo improves speed without compromising on performance, making it ideal for accurate tactile scanning and high throughput.

Other products set to be unveiled include the latest addition to the Romer portable measuring arm range as well as a new Leica laser tracker.
