Over both its precision component manufacturers’ event held on 15th and 16th September, and its apprentices event held on 18th September, more than 150 attendees visited the facility.

“We showcased a number of our new EDM and milling machines at the event, including our new large-capacity Mikron HEM 700U – a 5-axis machining centre designed for full simultaneous 5-axis machining, and a FORM 200 (die-sink) machine with an integrated System 3R WorkPartner 1+ robot system.” Visitors were also able to see a Mikron HPM 450U (5-axis machining centre with an integrated work-piece pallet changer), and CUT 200mS wire EDM machine being put through their paces.
All the machines showcased were set-up to run innovative machining demonstrations. These included the machining of geometrically challenging aerospace parts and complex and intricate mould tools.
Spencer adds: “The feedback received from attendees was that they liked what they saw. Judging from both the number and type of serious enquiries taken during the precision component manufacturers event, I am confident that these will be translated into machine sales in the weeks and months ahead.”
