GF AgieCharmilles, the EDM and milling machine specialist, has announced it will be bringing six machines to MACH 2010, stand 5331, including a machine from the recently launched laser ablation range.
Two of the machines are Mikron 5-axis machining centres, namely the large capacity High-Performance (HPM) 800U machine, and a new High-Speed (HSM) 400U LP machine, equipped with linear drives. The HSM 400U LP will be making its UK debut at MACH 2010.
The two wire EDM machines being exhibited on the stand are the CUT 20P, the fastest-selling wire EDM machine of its class in the market, and the FI 440CCs, a high-precision, fast wire EDM machine, equipped with CleanCut digital generator technology.
The spark erosion EDM machine being showcased on the Stand is the FO 350 SP, equipped with IQ (Zero Wear) technology.
The machine tool line-up is completed by the LASER 1000, the 5-axis laser ablation machine that was first unveiled to the world at EMO 2009
"The new laser ablation machine being exhibited, the 5-axis LASER 1000 5AX, represents a whole new (yet complementary) technology sector for GF AgieCharmilles. The technology, enabling manufacturers to texturise, engrave, mark and label products (electrodes and machined parts), has significant potential in the mould tool and die sector (i.e. automotive and PET moulds), and in the jewellery, watch-making and fashion industries," says Martin Spencer, managing director at Agie Charmilles UK.
