Free one-day seminar at newly created Medical AMRC demonstrates Bumotec S-191 mill-turn strengths

A free one-day seminar on small part machining strategies and live machining demonstrations, utilising the Bumotec S-191, will be staged by Starrag UK at the Medical AMRC, Sheffield, on Tuesday, 26 February 2014.

Said to be of interest to medical, aerospace, connector and automotive industries, the event will showcase the cost-effectiveness and accuracy of the latest Bumotec S-191 high precision mill-turn machine, with the opportunity to discuss the latest machining techniques, tooling and process strategies demanded by the small precision parts market. Starrag UK, in partnership with Medical AMRC, will have industry specialists on hand at the event explaining the benefits of single set up of up to six-sided machining with the bonus of lights out capability. Bumotec S-191 mill-turn machines feature ultra-fast machining strategies, a 2 micron precision capability, linear drives, high torque spindle with 'shock control' technology, up to 90-position tool magazine, auto part loading, unmatched process rigidity and programmed using the latest Fanuc control, all contained within a workshop friendly small footprint. The Medical AMRC is a newly-established facility to lead the UK in developing healthcare technologies of the future, building on the success of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) and the Nuclear AMRC.
