Ficep to demonstrate two machines at MACH 2014

At MACH 2014 (Birmingham NEC, 7-11 April), Ficep will demonstrate its Gemini HD multi-function system for profile cutting, drilling, machining and scribing. Over 150 Gemini machines have been installed worldwide and the latest HD machine, which features a plasma bevelling head, will be on show on Stand 4730 in Hall 4.

According to Ficep, the machine is suitable for producing parts from plate, from 5 up to120 mm thick, with cutting lengths from 6 to 30 m – in a single set-up. The new compact bevelling head is said to be 25% lighter than similar machines, while the scribing system claims to reduce fabrication time and manpower requirements. Also being demonstrated at MACH 2014 will be an Ernst deburring machine – Ficep UK was appointed recently as the exclusive agent for Ernst machines. According to Ficep, Ernst machines are up to seven times more productive and cost effective than traditional grinding methods for deburring and edge-rounding plate components. The machines can also compensate for surface height variations of up to 6 mm. MACH 2014 - Birmingham NEC, 7-11 April
