Fanuc UK managing director joins Mills CNC’s Training Academy
Andrew Myhill has joined the CNC Training Academy, part of Mills CNC, as its new business development manager. He took up the new position in September 2014 after a variety of senior management roles in sales, servicing and, most recently, eight years as managing director at Fanuc UK CNC.
The appointment of Myhill is part of wider expansion plans at the Leamington Spa-based facility. The Academy will also improve its CNC training capabilities by increasing the number of state-of-the-art, fully-equipped training rooms available at the Mills CNC Technology Campus (from 2 to 4), and appoint new CNC Trainers to meet the increase in demand.
Myhill says: "The CNC Training Academy is successful. Ever since it was created back in 2010 year-on-year sales have grown exponentially. However, 55% of [Mills CNC's] turnover derives directly (and not surprisingly) from Doosan machine tool sales. My role is focused on growing business with non-Doosan machine tool users."
